Coco's Commemorative Speech

I think that Coco really presented a good speech on the topic of commemorating 張雨生. She had strong emotion while delivering the speech which was easy to tell from her tone and her speaking speed. She was also point out the achievement of 張雨生 by the sentence “ Ten years past, his attribute and achievement in music is still influencing others.” And she clearly led the audiences to review his achievement by the sentence “Now, let us traced to the past to see what he had done to the society and to the music.”
She also had strong eye contact with the audiences and expressed her sincerity feeling to the person she was commemorating. She showed us his well-known song to let the audiences know more about him, which is really good.
However, I think there are still some points that she needs to improve to make her speech perfect.
First, I think it is better for her to play 張雨生’s music while she mentioned his attribute in music because if she plays his music during her speech it is hard for the audiences to concentrate on her words. As we all can see, one of our classmate sang while she was delivering her speech. Obviously the audience’s attention is easily to be disturbed by the music and can not concentrate on her speech. And this might lose the meaning of commemorative speech.
And the last, I think she could mention more 張雨生’s achievement but not focus on A-Mei. Although 張雨生influenced A-Mei a lot, it is better for her to say something more about 張雨生 himself because the occasion was commemorating 張雨生but not praising A-Mei.
After all, I think Coco really done a good speech this time by using her tone and emotion in the right timing and right occasion.
