I think Debbie did a very good job in her speech. Debbie pointed the topic was about memorialize William Shakespeare at the beginning. William Shakespeare is a very famous person we all know but not familiar. So I think her topic caught our attention form beginning. In Debbie’s speech she said “death couldn’t take away his large amount of contributions that left on earth which passed on for hundreds of years….”, then, she introduced the large amount of contributions about William Shakespeare to audience. Her speech was well-organized for the previous part connected to next part smooth. She also used many famous people’s quotations to express their appreciation of William Shakespeare. It made her speech more convincing. It was so good that Debbie slowed down her voice while giving speech which expresses the memorial emotion. Her good voice and tone delivered her speech clearly. For speech of commemorative, I think to show sincerity is very important and I can see Debbie delivered her speech sincerely. However, I think if Debbie could give more information about how William Shakespeare’s works inspired people would make her speech perfect.
