Self-evaluation for speech of value
At the beginning, I had an idea in my mind, which was to challenge myself to do a better job this time. And then I choosed a very controversial topic “Euthanasia” to present. It was so hard to decide which side I should stand about this topic. Finally, I choosed the pro side to present the topic, and I also learned a lot of information and statistics that I had never known before. In the meantime, I also fought a lot of incidents about euthanasia which amazed me a lot. For example, a father killed his own daughter in order to release her pain. From those incidents, I also could realize what other people’s concept about euthanasia. That really broadens my knowledge a lot. In this speech, I delivered the content with a proper path and read all the information as clearly as I could. Because I hoped my audience could realize what I was talking about. And I had enough confidence to present this speech because I well-prepared about this topic. I also used my tone to attract my audience to listen to me, and used my eye-contact to make sure that my audiences were with me. Furthermore, I memorized every procedures of my draft well; therefore I could deliver my speech smoothly. All in all, I did a great job on this speech, and I did challenge myself via this topic successfully. After this speech, I hope I can brainstorm my audience and let them think about different concepts toward “euthanasia.”
