Irene’s speech was well prepared and she is also familiar with her speaker’s background, indicates that she organized her speech content pretty well. Her notes were written down neatly, which is good start for delivering speeches; however, sometimes notes could be a distraction if we couldn’t use it efficiently. During Irene’s speech, she was a bit swayed away by her note; for example, when she finished a sentence, she moved on to the next sentences without pausing. This leads to situations like flat voice and lack of enthusiasm. If would be better if she add a little dramatic in her voice, portray a lively tone that let the audience get involved with the speaker better, and try to pause between sentences. Moreover, while introducing someone, we should show our passion toward the speaker, we should confidently look at the audience beneath as if sending them the message that I am proud of the speaker I invited today. Finally, I would like to say that Irene improve a lot in her speech skills, she seems to found her way to comfort herself to ease while delivering speeches step by step, and she is also getting steadier, which I look forward to her future performances.
